1965 Ford Mustang Project

PRICE REDUCED - Asking $7,999.00

This is a completely disassembled, clean title, 1965 Mustang Coupe in very good condition. The body, hood and trunk lid were stripped and partially restoredprimed. The bottom has already been coated with epoxy. Other sheet metal (fenders, new door skins, valances, etc.) are included.

The original car was a 6 cylinder 3-speed automatic. All the parts to convert it to a V8, including an intactrunning 289 engine wC4 automatic transmission from a 66 Mustang and front 5-lug suspension wdisk brakes, are included except the 5-lug 8" rear end ($250 used). There are several duplicate parts from 2 donor cars. Also included is an original Ford Shop Manual, wiring diagrams, and other relevant manuals.

Solid body in very good condition wvery little rust
Stripped to bare metal, some body work done, partially primed
Solid floor pans, rockers, etc. (only light surface rust)
Underside and frame cleaned up and pained with epoxy paint
Only rust-through is in the driver-side rear quarter panel (needs repair panel)

What's missing to complete the V8 conversion While you could attempt to convert the 7.x" axel to 5 lug it wouldn't hold up over time to the V8 torque. You can acquire a used 8" Complete axle for around ($250)

5-lug disk brake front suspension (Torino swap)
Steering linkage for V8 and disk brake suspension
